These boots are made for walkin'...

Last weekend my friend Anna and her family came over for dinner, and Kostyn took a shine to 3-year-old Lila's shiny pink rain boots. He discovered them in the corner, pulled them on and proceeded to traipse around the house taking giant, exaggerated steps as if he was walking on the moon. This intrigued his brother, who began to follow him everywhere, causing Kostyn to repeatedly assert to Evan that "These are MY boots," which in turn caused Lila some concern, and rightfully so.

Kostyn did not want to be photographed in his girly find, so this is the best shot I could get. Lila was a great sport about the whole thing, and we did manage to wrangle them off his feet in time for her to regain ownership before they left. Anna tells me the boots also come in a shiny red firefighter style. Just in time for puddle jumping season...

What if he wants the pink instead of the red? Brother Bear has all but outgrown his purple ones and we're on the hunt for replacements. He saw a yellow pair with pink flowers that were too small and tried to convince me he could just curl his toes to wear them. We'll have to take the boys puddle stomping together!

If he wants pink, he'll get pink. :) That is, if his daddy doesn't accompany him to the store.....

I just noticed you can see Lila pointing in the picture: "Um, Mommy, he's wearing my boots...."

Pop Pops and I found some at Walmart today of various sizes and colors. No, we didn't buy them but wanted you to know so you can make our grandsons happy. LOL
