eBay Postscript

I won!! My brand-new (the seller assures me...) duvet cover is on its way. Score! (And it was almost 50 bucks cheaper than if I'd ordered it from potterybarn.com.)

And to respond to a comment on the previous post: Brian, I can't believe there is software dedicated to helping people spend more money.
Wait....scratch that. Of course I can believe it.

K so I'm officially no longer an eBay idiot. I am, however, still a Paint Selection Idiot. Because even after bringing the new striped shams and a whole bunch of ideas to Lowe's earlier today, we STILL ended up buying a gallon of a nice creamy color for our bedroom that, upon returning home and holding the sample up to the wall, we discovered is nearly identical to THE COLOR THAT'S ALREADY ON THE WALLS.

As my mother used to say, if I had a brain I'd be dangerous.

i'd happily help if you need me...from looking at my house you know i'm not afraid of color...although, you may not like my colors, so there's that.

are you feeling like an adult with all this bedroom stuff? We finally do... since Christmas we have got linens that actually fit our bed (versus the full size comf on the king size bed), painted the walls a color, and this past week we got (most of) our new bedroom furniture. 9 years of marriage and two houses and we finally have a bedroom! :)

It does feel like we're all grown up, with matching dressers already in the room and two matching nightstands on the way! (Granted, the nightstands were cheap ones from Target.com, but still...they MATCH). If you had asked me two years ago if I had shams on my bed I would have looked at you like you were my grandmother.

Funny that we moved into our house one year ago this weekend, and we're just now getting around to doing something with the master bedroom.
