Playoffs = Patriots

Oh, those plucky Patriots. When I started dating Chris, back in the 20th century, I thought we'd have problems when it came to football, since our teams are AFC East rivals. But as the years have gone by, and the Bills have continuously sucked, I've become more and more fond of those Boston boys, because they give me someone to root for in the playoffs. And they're always so damn entertaining! Well, in a heart-pounding "We'll wait til the last 60 seconds of the game before we sew up the win" sort of way.

Here's hoping they continue their run -- yet again -- thereby giving me a vested interest in the Super Bowl. Because let's face it, the commercials have mostly sucked in recent years.

GO PATS!

(P.S. - Yes, I realize the accompanying photo of Tom Brady doesn't show him anywhere near the realm of football. But it's so darn pretty, does anyone really care?)

Go Pats!

All this success is almost making me feel guilty..... Almost.

No offense, but I'm rooting for Peyton.

It was a very sad night in Aberdeen, NJ last night. Lance's brother is a huge Chargers fan, and this was looking like their year!

Dan, that's exactly what Chris says every time they win in the playoffs. :)

Amy and Kim -- How could you go with Peyton when he's up against TOM?!!?! Did you ladies not see the picture I posted??

He doesn't do it for me. Sorry.

And Peyton has funnier commercials. :) Oh, yeah. And he's a better quarterback!

Peyton a better quarterback?? Clearly you don't watch football, because if you did then you'd know that Brady has three (1, 2, 3) Super Bowl rings, and Peyton has ZIP.

Oh wait: Peyton does have something. He has the memories of being knocked out of the playoffs twice by Tom Brady and the Patriots.

Clearly you don't watch a lot of football. If you did, you'd realize it takes more than a good quarterback to win a football game. Brady has just had a bit more support to back him up. I mean if you really want to quibble about it, we could go to the stats and their ratings... But I doubt you really wanna go there....

Nice. If I didn’t know you better, I’d believe you were a true pro football fan (i.e., would ever turn on a game when your husband isn’t home - not counting the Super Bowl).

But I know you better. ;)

Yeah, but living with my husband is like having ESPN on in my head 24/7.

Lucky you!!

Too bad the Pats will just lose to Da Bears. History repeats itself, ya know.
