It happened

A total stranger in a store reached out and touched my belly today, without permission or even warning.

I didn't realize this really happened to people.

Pregnancy is so weird.

wow, i didn't realize you were showing the much yet...that is still really weird. it's like when total strangers call you sweatheart, but on a much more "invasion of personal space" level. yikes.

Huh. I can honestly say that never happened to me.

And you're not even that big yet. Just imagine how many more there'll be in the next few months!

i am afraid that this is only the beginning...and, sorry about those pats...golden boy, indeed...

I'm not showing that much! That's what made it extra weird. I should say that when she did it, she said "There's a baby in THERE?!" because I had just told an acquaintance nearby that I was more than five months along.

That never happened to you, Kim?? Hmm. I wonder what I'm in for here...

Never by a complete stranger. A few times by people I sort of knew, but didn't feel completely comfortable with touching my stomach.

Never happened to me either as far as I recall (Luis agrees, btw). What did you do?

I smiled while giving her a "What in the hell do you think you're doing" look. When her gaze finally left my tummy and matched mine, she slowly and deliberately removed her hands and said something about how it was the best time in her life when she had babies.

Whatever.

I think that's sweet. Though ... It would suck if you weren't pregnant and someone did that. Not that that has happened to me
