I got an email a couple days ago from the assignment and syndication editor at www.BlogHer.com. If you're not familiar with BlogHer, it's the largest online community of women who blog: 23+ million unique visitors per month, per the website.
So, ya know, it's pretty big.
Anyway, somebody there read my blog post about the blind bagger versus the hand model and liked it. Liked it so much they wanted to syndicate it on their website's home page, give my blog a link, and pay me for it.
This, to me, is huge. I am one of a million or more moms out there blogging about their kids and their lives. Some do it for money, some for fame, some for freebies, but the vast majority of us do it simply because it's how we best express ourselves and relate to others.
It's an incredible feeling to be recognized for that.
