John From Cincinnati

Do any of you have HBO? And if so, have you watched the show "John From Cincinnati"? And if so, do you understand what the hell is happening on that show? I've never been so intrigued by a television show in which I have no clue what any of the characters are up to. We're about five episodes in to this new series and every week when it ends Chris and I look at each other quizzically, like "Well? Anything? No, me neither. I have no f-ing idea what just happened." And then we tune in again the following week.

Please, someone, enlighten me! Is John supposed to be God? Who are those weird guys who are staking out the motel? Does that parrot really talk to Ed O'Neill? Why is John obsessed with Cass' camera? Help!

Is this the show with Luke Perry? I keep meaning to tape an episode because I pay 13 bucks a month for this friggin' HBO and I never watch it. "JFC" seemed like a show I could actually get into. Until I read your blog, that is!

I tried to watch it after the final episode of the Sopranos, but to be honest it just bored me to tears. Maybe it was 'cause I was still all revved up and ultimately pissed off with the way "big finale" ended, but I really have no desire to give it another shot. I miss Six Feet Under. :(

Yeah, it's the one with Luke Perry.
And Kim, I don't blame you. I don't know why we keep trying.

Keep watching. It is going to start making sense soon. Just remember who created it. Bochco I think. He has created some great shows.
